Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services and medical direction in accordance with facility protocols and standards of care
- Supervise and collaborate with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in a Care Team environment
- Perform pre-operative assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels throughout surgical procedures
- Provide post-operative pain management and recovery room care as needed
- Maintain current knowledge of anesthesiology best practices and protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and credentialing requirements
- Cover backup call rotation on a limited basis
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency program
- Current or eligible for Texas medical licensure
- Active DEA registration or ability to obtain
- Comfortable supervising CRNAs in an Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care delivery
