Overview
This role provides medical and clinical support, focusing on anesthesia-related duties, including administering anesthesia, monitoring patient vitals, and managing pain and critical illnesses. It involves supervising Clinical Care Technicians, overseeing patient flow, supplies, and equipment in a complex environment, and ensuring smooth operations in surgical and diagnostic settings.
Responsibilities
Prepare and set up anesthesia equipment, assist with invasive procedures, troubleshoot monitoring devices, inventory supplies, and maintain equipment. Act as a preceptor for new staff, coordinate schedules, and support process improvements focused on safety and efficiency. Additionally, assist with staff recruitment and floor management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification, and two years of anesthesia tech experience in an OR setting are required. Physical ability to lift 40-50 lbs, extensive standing, and work in potentially hazardous environments are necessary.
Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in English reading/writing, basic computer skills, excellent communication, knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
