Anesthesia Simulation Lab Assistant - PTThe Simulation Lab Assistant coordinates and facilitates simulation-based learning experiences, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives and accreditation standards. This role includes:Assisting with the administration, organization, and assessment of simulation-based learning within the Nurse Anesthesia programPreparing, maintaining, and operating simulation equipment and softwareProviding technical and instructional support for students and faculty in simulation activitiesEnsuring compliance with institutional and accreditation standards for simulation-based educationESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Development and Assessment of Simulation-Based EducationCollaborates with faculty to design and implement simulation scenarios that align with curriculum objectivesAssists in the development and assessment of simulation-based competencies for studentsEnsures simulation activities meet accreditation and programmatic standardsCoordination and Implementation of Simulation ActivitiesSchedules, sets up, and facilitates simulation lab sessionsOperates and troubleshoots simulation equipment, manikins, and related technologyServes as a liaison between faculty, students, and simulation lab resourcesAssists with data collection and analysis for simulation program assessmentStudent and Faculty Support in Simulation-Based LearningProvides orientation to students on simulation lab policies, procedures, and equipmentSupports faculty in running simulation scenarios and debriefing sessionsOffers guidance to students in applying simulation experiences to clinical practiceCompliance and Maintenance of Simulation LabEnsures proper maintenance and functionality of simulation equipmentMaintains inventory of lab supplies and assists in purchasing new equipment as neededEnsures compliance with safety protocols and university policies related to simulation educationQualifications:CRNA with an earned Master or Doctoral degreeHolds an active unrestricted CRNA license/certification in any United States jurisdiction and the state where the program is located if required by the state's jurisdiction.Minimum of 2 years full time CRNA practice experience
