Android Developer 3The Android Developer 3 is focused on the development, maintenance, and support of application systems to ensure stability, reliability, and continued enhancement for the user community. This position recognizes problems as they occur and addresses those issues. This role will technically lead and mentor other developers to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions.
This is an onsite position, required to be in-office in Springfield, Missouri.Essential FunctionsServes as a contributor and member to project teams in the applications area.Researches problems to determine the cause and determine effective approaches for resolution.Completes administration tasks, such as status reporting and documentation.Creates technical documentation and diagrams to support application analysis and design.Participates in formal and informal code reviews, assists team members, and works with QA teams to support quality assurance efforts.Performs analysis and design for programs and learns and adapts to new applications, languages, and techniques.Communicates with business users to identify improvements, support day-to-day operations, and document technical solutions.Provides on-call support as needed.All other duties as assignedExperience/QualificationsMinimum Degree Required: Bachelor's DegreeCertificate(s) or License(s): A certificate of training or expert in one of the systems supported is preferredExperience: 4 + yearsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilityPassion for software development and continuous improvementAdvanced experience with Android application development using Kotlin and/or Java, including modern UI development with Jetpack ComposeStrong understanding of mobile application architecture, REST APIs, performance optimization, and responsive UI designExperience designing and developing scalable, maintainable Android applicationsExperience with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, Gradle, and mobile testing frameworksExperience using Agentic AI tools and AI-assisted development workflows to improve productivity and software qualityExperience with GitHub for version control and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)Familiarity with Docker, DevOps practices, and deployment automationExperience leading or mentoring developers and contributing to technical design decisionsExperience working in Agile teams using tools like Jira (Scrum, Kanban)Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver complex solutionsRetail industry experience preferredTravel Requirements0-25%Physical RequirementsRegular computer work, and sittingOccasional walking, standing, and liftingIndependent JudgementPerforms duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives.
