Anatomic/Clinical Pathologist

Anatomic/Clinical Pathology coverage is needed at a hospital-based laboratory operating across 4 hospitals in Oregon. The clinician will handle general surgical pathology and cytopathology sign-out, with high-volume case types including breast, GI, GU, and GYN specimens. This locum tenens opportunity offers an ongoing day shift schedule starting as soon as possible with required call assignments.

Practice Info

• Hospital-based laboratory providing diagnostic pathology services across 4 hospitals
• Support staff includes 5 pathologists, multiple per diem pathologists, 2 office staff, 2 pathology assistants, lab assistants, and histotechs
• Variable case load/PPD
• Patient population of all ages

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic pathology coverage
• General surgical pathology and cytopathology sign-out across all case types

Shift & Schedule

• Dates needed: ASAP - Ongoing
• Day shift
• Call assignment type: Inpatient
• Call required: Yes
• Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weeknight and weekend call required one week per month
• Call ratio/schedule: 1 week of weeknight and weekend call per month

Qualifications

• Board certification required
• Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology is required for all clinicians considered for this position
