Analytics ConsultantIn this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Analytics. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Analytics challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.

Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.Key ResponsibilitiesThe role is primarily focused on:Writing, developing, and modifying complex SQL queriesQuerying data across multiple database environments: Teradata (primary), Oracle, SQL ServerAnalyzing large datasets and understanding database structures, relationships, and business logicRefactoring existing queries and creating new data retrieval solutionsPerforming ad hoc analysis related to: Customer Risk Models, Product Risk Models, Country Risk ModelsIdentifying trends, variances, risk impacts, and changes over timePackaging findings into executive-friendly presentations and reportsPresenting analysis to business stakeholders and senior leadershipMust-Have SkillsAdvanced SQL querying and development (most critical requirement)Strong data analysis and problem-solving skillsAbility to understand complex database structuresStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience presenting findings to business users and executivesNice-to-Have SkillsAML (Anti-Money Laundering) or Financial Crimes experienceRisk analytics backgroundPower BI or Tableau exposurePythonData visualization experienceExcel and PowerPoint proficiencyTeam & Work EnvironmentTeam size: Approximately 7 membersPosition is primarily a backfill role, with some additional workload support due to expanding responsibilities.New hires will receive hands-on training and mentoring from experienced team members.Existing query libraries and examples are available to accelerate onboarding.Communication & Stakeholder ExpectationsThe candidate will:Work directly with stakeholders across multiple teamsInterpret business requests and ask clarifying questionsPresent findings to senior leadership, including AML leadership, policy leaders, executive stakeholdersTranslate technical analysis into business-friendly insightsTypical Work BreakdownHeavy SQL querying and data extractionAnalyzing model impacts, customer/product risk changes, and upstream system changesCreating reports, presentations, and executive summariesMostly ad hoc analysis, with occasional recurring-report requirements gathering for Tableau development teams
