Position Details

Title: Analytical Scientist

Position Type: 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need

Job Location: Lower Gwynedd, PA

Shift: 1st Shift

Benefits: 401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance, PTO

Compensation: $37.18/HR

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical testing of drug products and APIs under the supervision of a senior scientist.
  • Conduct HPLC/UPLC, dissolution, and other analytical testing to support drug product development.
  • Analyze chromatographic and spectroscopic data and present results to the team in a timely manner.
  • Collect, interpret, and document analytical data in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
  • Support technical problem-solving and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using electronic laboratory systems.
  • Report to the Analytical Sciences senior leadership team and contribute to laboratory projects.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or
  • Ph.D. with 0–2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on analytical laboratory experience, including wet chemistry and chromatography.
  • Experience with HPLC/UPLC and dissolution testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Empower (or similar chromatography data systems) and Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN).
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting analytical data using graphs and visualization tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with UV spectroscopy.
  • Knowledge of GMP, quality, compliance, and data integrity requirements.
  • Experience troubleshooting analytical techniques, including chromatography, dissolution, and spectroscopy.
  • Ability to work independently in a laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and tools such as Excel or Minitab.
  • Experience conducting comparative and/or multimedia dissolution studies.
