Role overview
Our client is seeking a Lead Scientist to perform analytical testing and provide technical leadership in a quality-controlled laboratory. The role includes troubleshooting, investigations, and development and validation of analytical methods.
Key responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of finished products, raw materials, custom projects, and in-process samples.
- Develop investigation strategies, participate in out-of-specification investigations, and write reports.
- Lead or participate in method development, validation, and technical studies.
- Qualify, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments.
- Document work and maintain laboratory readiness in accordance with quality, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or a related life science field with 10+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17034 requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in analytical methods and interpretation of results.
- Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills, including the ability to write procedures and reports.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a GLP, GMP, or ISO environment.
- Knowledge of quality system requirements in medical device, pharmaceutical, or clinical industries.
