Job Description

Responsibilities include the following:

• Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products (tablets, capsules, parenterals, devices, liquids, creams, gels) and animal health products.
• Prepare standards and samples for analysis; run instrumentation independently including, but not limited to, various chromatographic systems, Karl Fischer (Coulometric and Volumetric), UV/Spec, HPLC, and dissolution apparatus.
• Execute method transfer protocols.
• Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Work efficiently, document work clearly, and perform tests accurately.
• Ensure that the client receives quality data by reviewing laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations.
• Read and understand analytical procedures (compendial and client-supplied) and internal SOPs.
• Process data, generate reports, and evaluate data.
• Train others in laboratory procedures.
• Perform laboratory maintenance and communicate with vendors and repair personnel.
• Write investigations and lead project/test areas, performing method transfers/feasibility studies.
