Analytical CDM Billing Specialist

Join a dynamic healthcare team as an Analytical CDM Billing Specialist, where you will ensure the accuracy and compliance of chargemaster data and billing practices. This role is essential in maintaining up-to-date CPT, HCPCS, revenue codes, charge descriptions, and pricing information. You will audit billing and coding procedures to maximize revenue and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain the chargemaster with precise and current coding and pricing data.
• Conduct audits of billing and coding to ensure compliance and optimize revenue collection.
• Generate and analyze reports to monitor productivity, accuracy, and data integrity.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans to address missing or invalid data.
• Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain professional communication with patients, team members, physicians, and external agencies.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in billing, coding, revenue integrity, or chargemaster management.
• Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with Cerner Millennium or Athena systems is a plus.

Certifications:

• No mandatory certifications required.
• Industry-recognized certification in coding, billing, medical auditing, or related fields preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

• Intermediate computer proficiency.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with extensive knowledge of CPT/HCPCS, UB04 revenue codes, modifiers, billing regulations, and APC.
• Understanding of chargemaster relationships to general ledger cost accounting, productivity, cost reporting, and budgeting.

Physical Requirements: Primarily sedentary work with occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs and minimal standing or walking.
