The position provides direct support for the payroll process with adherence to Payroll policies and procedures. Responsibilities:Process bi-weekly payroll in PeopleSoft North American Payroll module.Act as the payroll subject matter expert for assigned client baseReports data; reviews and ensures accurate computation of pay, conducts appropriate audits to ensure data integrity and complianceCoordinates with internal departments as appropriate to resolve discrepancies.Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering dataExports time from time & attendance system, ADP eTIME for payroll processingReviews/audits timesheets for accuracy and proper manager approval, follow up with any discrepanciesResponsible for ensuring additional pay components such as bonuses, garnishments, loans, and general deductionsAssists with processing, researching and auditing all additional pay requestsProvides excellent customer service for all employees relating to payroll itemsResponsible for managing group payroll mailbox requestsTeamwork – works cooperatively and productively with colleagues and other teamsEffectively manages time during critical periods, such as payroll processing daysParticipates in internal and external audits pertaining to payrollQualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, and/ or Certification in Payroll Practices or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 2 years work experience in Payroll.2-5 years of experience in payrollPayroll certification is desired but not requiredExperience with PeopleSoft Payroll and Payroll Tax requirementsWorking knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations for a multi-state payroll environmentDisciplined organizational skillsTime-management and adaptability based on ongoing changing prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCommunicates effectively in both formal and informal settingsAbility to conceptualize and assimilate data to recognize problems and recommend solutionsAdapt effectively to new and changing environmentRequired experience is commensurate with the selected job level:The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experienceThe Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experienceThe Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
