Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler TechnicianLocation: Sioux Falls, SDSalary: $24-34/hourJob Summary of the Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician: The Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician will perform the duties of a Refrigeration/Boiler Technician and assist other maintenance personnel on their shift. This is a 12-hour rotating shift position.Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician:Have or be able to attain RETA certificationDemonstrate strong safety leadership skills and follow safe work practicesWork as part of a team to plan and conduct equipment repairsConduct routine audits and equipment inspectionsDemonstrate troubleshooting abilitiesMaintain open and professional line of communication with operationsRespond to unplanned/emergency work requests in a timely & effective mannerFollow food safety and good manufacturing practicesBe highly motivated and able to work independentlyEducation & Experience Requirements of Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment; or 4 years' direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment.Industrial maintenance experience should include comprehensive knowledge in three or more of the following areas:RETA CertificationAmmonia RefrigerationEngine & Boiler systemsElectricity & motor controlsControls & instrumentationPLC/software & hardwarePneumatics & HydraulicsMechanical systemsPredictive/Predictive maintenanceMaintenance PlanningSite utilitiesSystem analysis & troubleshootingPipefitting & weldingMachiningMetal fabricationBasic computer skills and the ability to work independently are also required for this position.This is a full-time hourly position; all applicants should be willing to work a night shift rotating 2-2-3 twelve hour work schedule.
