An established financial services organization is seeking an AML/EDD Analyst in Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI. This hybrid role supports complex anti-money laundering and enhanced due diligence investigations, helping maintain compliance through detailed research, documentation, and case analysis.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Hybrid (at least 3 days a week onsite)
- Locations: Charlotte, North Carolina or Detroit, Michigan
- Conduct AML investigations in line with established policies, procedures, and risk philosophy
- Perform enhanced due diligence reviews using internal risk reports, negative news, public records, and other research tools
- Complete background investigations as required
- Prepare accurate narratives and supporting documentation for investigative findings
- Research accounts and transactions, identify trends, escalate non-standard issues, and meet daily production expectations
- 1+ year of financial crimes compliance experience
- Bachelor's degree or related work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple duties, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively on project teams
- Knowledge of BSA, the Patriot Act, U.S. Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC requirements, and Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements
- Experience with account and transaction research, compliance reporting, and investigative narrative writing
- Familiarity with regulatory developments and compliance publications
- Strong judgment, discretion, and a proactive, self-directed work style
