Program CoordinatorFamily Services of the Merrimack Valley (FSMV) is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator for its Amigos Mentoring Program, funded by the EOHHS Strong Communities Initiative Grant which supports community-based violence prevention and intervention programs that promote equitable access to protective factors. Amigos Mentoring provides positive adult role models who form consistent and positive relationships with youth, boosting protective factors meant to reduce the likelihood of gun and community violence. This program provides bi-weekly group mentoring, monthly one-on-one mentoring, and case management to 14 middle school youth (ages 11–14) from Lawrence who are at risk of involvement in violence.The Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the program including monthly match support calls to parents/guardians, outreach activities, recruitment and enrollment of program participants as well as other program logistics.
This position also supports data collection and reporting as well as compliance efforts and ensures high-quality, equitable services that create meaningful impact on the lives of young people and their families.Duties Include:Coordinate and oversee all operations of the Amigos Mentoring Program.Recruit and enroll youth into the program; maintaining a waitlist.Facilitate the matching process between youth and staff mentors.Conduct monthly match support calls with parents/guardians, provide referrals to community resources and document outcomes.Plan and manage all logistics including transportation, meals, supply orders, and scheduling.Organize and support all program related activities.Monitor program expenditures, maintain accurate records, and ensure confidentiality.Coordinate data collection and reporting using appropriate evaluation and reporting tools.Engage in ongoing community outreach and build partnerships with stakeholders.Support adherence to grant requirements and alignment with the Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring.Collaborate with the Mentoring Director and staff to ensure successful program delivery and a positive team environment.Participate in ongoing professional development training.Other duties as assigned or requested.Qualifications:Associate degree in human services or a related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience.Background in mentoring, youth development, or similar areas.Highly organized, energetic, and driven to produce meaningful outcomes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with public speaking.Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency in both written and spoken communication required.Willingness to work 1–2 evenings per week and occasional Saturdays.Experience working with diverse populations, including Latinx and LGBTQIA+ communities, preferred.Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.About Family Services of the Merrimack ValleyFSMV is a non-profit social service organization located in Lawrence, MA.
