Job Overview

Position: Nurse Manager – Gynecologic Oncology (Ambulatory Practice)

Location: 125 Lattimore Rd, Rochester, New York, 14620, United States of America

Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, rotating shift (UR) within the United States of America.

Compensation: $104,000.00 – $140,400.00 per year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 24‑hour accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on the assigned outpatient unit.
• Oversee and direct unit activities, including standards development, human resource management, assessment of resource needs and utilization, staff development, and communication within nursing practice and with other disciplines.
• Lead performance improvement activities at the unit level and participate in committees at all levels within the institution.
• Manage a busy, complex ambulatory oncology practice, providing direct oversight of registered nurses and ambulatory care technicians.
• Coordinate care from initial diagnosis and surgery to medical oncology treatments and survivorship.
• Provide real‑time coaching and feedback, make timely operational decisions, and communicate clear plans to staff and partners.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including colleagues at Highland Hospital, to achieve high clinical trial accruals and support the institute’s National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation goals.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a BSN or equivalent; MSN preferred and required within five years.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex clinical operations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to foster a patient‑centered, collaborative environment.
