This role involves joining a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive mental health assessments and personalized treatment plans for various diagnoses. The position also includes an academic appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.

Responsibilities
- Assessment/evaluation/treatment of psychiatric illnesses
- Psychiatric medication evaluation and management
- Ordering diagnostic tests, medications, and other therapies and collaboration with consultants
- Timely completion of medical record documentation in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, regulatory standards and guidelines
- Coordination and continuation of the care for patients in adherence to state and federal guidelines and discharge planning
- Serving as an on-call physician when scheduled as needed
- Working with and supervising advanced practice providers
- Working with learners, medical students, PA students, residents
Compensation
- Generous base salary augmented with a substantial bonus for quality
