Ambulatory Clinic Nurse, RN – Pediatrics

• Provides direct patient care within the ambulatory setting, based on the nursing process and within role/scope of practice
• Performs preliminary patient assessments through observation and chart review
• Evaluates unstable or complex patient care situations and facilitates appropriate intervention
• Implements clinical decisions and uses expert peers and/or management appropriately
• Uses independent nursing judgment and accepts accountability for delegated care
• Applies standards, resources, and patient-response evaluation in care delivery
• Identifies patient teaching and learning needs
• Provides educational instruction to patients and families
• Evaluates and documents the effectiveness of patient and family teaching
• Responds to or refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls
• Completes forms including FMLA, DME, and Home Health orders and obtains physician signatures
• Performs professional, clinical, and technical competencies of the assigned unit or department

Requirements

• High School Graduate
• Associate Degree Nursing
• 6 months of RN experience
• 2 or more years RN experience to be an Ambulatory Clinic RN PRN
• Must have current active multistate state RN license in good standing in the state in which you live OR active single state RN license in good standing in the state you will be working with proof of application of a multistate RN license in the state in which you live
• Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 are required to obtain a multistate state RN license from the state in which they live by 4/30/2026
• Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA) or obtained within 14 days
• Bachelor Degree Nursing preferred
