Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care for patients, including adults, geriatrics, and children. This role requires experience with neonatal and pediatric patients.

Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as prescribed by physicians.

Monitor and evaluate respiratory care procedures and patient responses.

Provide patient education regarding respiratory care techniques and equipment use.

Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Maintain and assist with the operation and upkeep of respiratory equipment.

Current Iowa Respiratory Therapy License required prior to starting.

Mandatory certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.

1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with emphasis on neonatal and pediatric experience.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.

Ability to work as part of a team to provide the highest standard of care.

The position requires working with a diverse patient population and may involve floating to various locations within a designated radius as needed. The role includes weekend shifts every other week.

Completed Iowa SING Background Check, including Criminal and Child Abuse clearances.

All background checks must be cleared before starting.

Certification as a mandatory reporter for both child and adult abuse is required.

Pass a 10-panel drug screening that includes opiates.

Familiarity with Vocsn Ventilators and V60 bipap machines is preferred.

All staff are expected to adhere to the professional dress code, which includes wearing appropriate scrubs.
