Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
We are seeking a skilled and independent Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in a critical access healthcare environment. This position involves providing respiratory care for patients across all age groups, ensuring high-quality treatment and support in a variety of patient care settings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory therapy services to patients as prescribed.
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, ventilators, and Vapotherm.
- Perform assessments and evaluate patient needs to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Manage patient care independently and efficiently as the sole Respiratory Therapist on shift.
Qualifications
- Current certification and licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Tennessee.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in emergency and critical care settings.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital environment.
Work Environment
This role requires flexibility in working hours, including weekend shifts every other week or as necessary. You will be expected to participate in on-call duties as required.
Dress Code
Scrubs are required, with no specific color mandated. Casual wear is not acceptable.
