Respiratory Therapy - Respiratory Therapist Tech

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for a temporary assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. These positions are 15-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Location: Hilo, Hawaii

Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3

Term: 15-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate: $54 - $58/hr

Responsibilities for a Respiratory Therapist:

• Must possess an active State of Hawaii license prior to assignment start date; candidates without must apply upon acceptance of offer

• Provide proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exception prior to contract start date

• Work Day Shift ), three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours) with no guaranteed hours

• Provide continuous airway management for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations

• Perform ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support

• Conduct physician consulting and CPR, covering all aspects of respiratory care

• Operate equipment including computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, PB 980, PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent

• Maintain minimum 2 years of experience; no first assignments accepted

• Hold required licensures and certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP preferred

• Maintain a valid State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapist license

• Arrive the Thursday before the assignment start date to attend a required employee health appointment on Friday
