Job Description
Staff Pharmacist
Job Summary
The Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring the monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance of medication use. The role includes the provision of drug information, medication distribution, and other patient services, performed in adherence to established policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy is required. Must hold a valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with co-workers, medical staff, patients, families, and the public.

Essential Job Functions

1. Review, interpret, process, and validate medication orders and prescriptions accurately.
2. Monitor and manage patient medication therapy to ensure therapeutic appropriateness and effectiveness, taking into consideration the age of each patient.
3. Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
4. Communicate drug information to patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
5. Participate in drug therapy management during medical emergencies by responding to calls, assisting in medication preparation, and assuring sufficient medication supplies.
6. Oversee day-to-day pharmacy technician activities to meet the needs of patients and the organization.

Physical Capacity Demand

Shift Information
This position operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule during night shifts, from 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Thursday through Thursday.
