- 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
- 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
- 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Job Summary
As a Clinical Pharmacist I, you will fill orders for medications, monitor patient drug therapies, and provide essential drug information. The aim is to deliver pharmacy services with compassion, excellence, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties
- Prepare and dispense drug orders as requested by physicians, following established policies and protocols.
- Interpret and transcribe drug orders accurately into computerized patient medication records.
- Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, ensuring accuracy for both non-sterile and sterile products.
- Issue controlled substances and maintain required records.
- Deliver services in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining necessary competencies.
- Supervise pharmacy support personnel and verify the daily activities of pharmacy technicians.
- Provide ambulatory pharmaceutical care services, including managing drug therapy and patient education.
- Ensure the provision of safe and cost-effective drug therapies in accordance with established policies.
- Monitor and evaluate drug therapy regimens for contraindications and interactions.
- Assist with consultations regarding pharmacokinetics and renal drug dosing per hospital protocol.
- Detect and report adverse drug reactions in a timely manner.
- Participate in maintaining the hospital drug formulary and promoting rational drug therapy.
- Provide accurate drug information and education to healthcare professionals and patients.
- Engage in quality improvement and medication use review activities.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and stewardship activities as assigned.
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (preferred) or BS Pharmacy degree (accepted).
- Must possess valid State licensure (LA license required).
- Hospital experience is preferred.
- Current pharmacy registration in the state of practice.
- BLS or ACLS certification via AHA.
