Assignment Details
• Initial Coverage: September 8 at 7:00 AM ÄìSeptember 18, 2026
• Future Coverage: One to two weeks per month through 2027
• Weekday Schedule: Monday ÄìFriday, 8:00 AM Äì5:00 PM
• Weekday Call: Floor/beeper call from 3:00 PM Äì7:00 AM
• Weekend Coverage: 24-hour onsite support with floor or operating-room call
• Weekend Callback: Approximately 10 hours
• Setting: Inpatient Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
• Patient Volume: Approximately 20 Äì26 patients per day
• Trauma Designation: Level II
• EMR: Epic
• Standard Credentialing: Approximately 90 Äì120 days
• Temporary Privileges: Potentially available within one week for complete, clean files
• Travel: Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage reimbursement available
Requirements
• Board-Certified Physician Assistant
• Active Ohio PA license
• Active ACLS and DEA
• At least five years of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery experience
• Proficiency in vein harvesting
• Clean malpractice, licensing, and professional history required
• Ability to provide weekday and weekend call coverage
• No licensing assistance available
Clinical Details
• Assist with Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeries
• Perform vein harvesting during cardiac surgery
• Retrieve vascular tissue for use as bypass conduits
• Provide postoperative care for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery patients
• Respond to emergency surgical cases
• Evaluate consultations and referrals from the ED, Cath Lab, and hospital providers
• Round, order and interpret tests, write prescriptions, and coordinate care
• Potentially supervise or teach as needed
