Sanford Health, one of the largest and fastest-growing not-for-profit health systems in the US, is seeking a BE/BC Allergist/Immunologist with an emphasis on clinical immunology to join their team in Sioux Falls, SD. This role offers the opportunity to practice as a general Allergist while supporting individual specialty interests within an expanding patient base and a robust referral network. The position encourages research for interested candidates and provides a supportive environment within a multi-specialty clinic.

Practice Info

  • Join a free-standing multi-specialty clinic located in Sioux Falls, SD
  • The clinic offers an in-house lab and basic radiology
  • Join two physicians and three APPs
  • Opportunity to be faculty of Sanford USD School of Medicine
  • Research is encouraged, if desired

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination
  • Admit (if applicable to the setting)
  • Evaluate diagnosis
  • Consult, manage, and provide comprehensive management of patients of all ages presenting with allergic and immunologic disorders

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of an Internal Medicine or Pediatric residency program, followed by completion of a fellowship program in Allergy and Immunology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but fellowship training completed within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training unless waived by the appropriate governing Board
  • Experience can be demonstrated by fellowship log (for recent graduates) or a quality profile from current hospitals showing clinical activity for the last 12 months (for those not applying directly out of fellowship)
  • Must be able to demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services to be at least 50 patients in the last 12 months (if providing a quality profile from current hospitals)
  • Must be able to demonstrate active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months (if a quality profile is not available)
