All Saints Episcopal School Club Counselor Grades PK8

Reports To: Director of Auxiliary Programs

Employment Type: Part-Time

Hours: Typically 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM (flexible depending on school schedule)

Position Summary:

The After-School Care Counselor is responsible for supervising and engaging students in a safe, supportive, and enriching environment during after-school hours. The counselor will plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, provide homework help, and support positive behavior management for students in Pre-K through 8th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

2. Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, enrichment, and outdoor play.
n
3. Support students with homework and provide academic assistance when needed.
n
4. Foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive environment for all students.
n
5. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
n
6. Monitor attendance and ensure accurate daily check-in/check-out procedures.
n
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and shared spaces.
n
8. Follow all school and program policies and procedures, including emergency protocols.
n
9. Provide support for special events or extended care days as needed.

Qualifications:

n

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

n

2. Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is highly preferred.

n

3. Strong classroom management and communication skills.

n

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

n

5. Passionate about working with children of various ages and backgrounds.

n

6. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

n

7. Must pass background checks and meet state/local licensing requirements.
