Align9 VISTA Recovery & Community Capacity Developer
The Recovery & Community Capacity Developer will strengthen Align9's organizational capacity to improve health outcomes for low income and underserved populations by building sustainable partnerships, expanding recovery workforce development, and increasing community engagement.
Member Duties
The day-to-day focus will be on building and maintaining partnerships with local recovery organizations, faith-based organizations, healthcare providers, schools, employers, civic groups, and other community partners to strengthen Align9’s recovery network. This includes promoting and increasing participation in Find Your Adventure, Connect4, and Wellness Workshops, while highlighting social connectedness and the Eight Dimensions of Wellness. I will regularly conduct outreach, share information about the Recovery Roadmap and wellness initiatives, recruit and engage volunteers, and identify individuals with at least one year of sustained recovery who may be interested in peer mentoring, leadership, volunteer service, or workforce development opportunities. I will also work with local recovery groups to strengthen collaboration, share resources, develop leadership opportunities, and create sustainable systems that encourage ongoing volunteer involvement and community engagement.
