APSL Licensed Alarm Planning Superintendent
We’re looking for an APS Licensed Alarm Planning Superintendent who wants more than just another project — someone ready to lead, design, and influence high-quality life safety installations from start to finish.
If you’re experienced in commercial fire alarm systems , understand code compliance inside and out , and enjoy being the technical authority on projects, this is a strong opportunity to step into a key leadership role .

Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
What You’ll Be Responsible For?
- Planning, designing, and estimating commercial fire alarm systems
- Developing fire alarm plans, riser diagrams, schematics, and specifications
- Leading installations, retrofits, and service projects
- Ensuring all work meets NFPA standards , state/local fire codes, and company safety policies
- Coordinating with project managers, inspectors, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Maintaining profitability through cost control, scheduling, and resource planning
- Promoting a culture of safety, quality workmanship, and professional integrity
What We’re Looking For?
This role is ideal for a professional who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and confident leading multiple projects .
Required Qualifications:
- Valid APS License (State or Local – REQUIRED) OR NICET 2
- 3–5+ years of experience installing and managing commercial fire alarm systems
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA standards , regulatory requirements, and fire codes
- Proven ability to design and estimate fire alarm systems
- Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Reliable transportation and valid State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
Applicants must hold a valid APS OR NICET 2 to be considered.
Preferred (Not Required)
- NICET Level II (or higher) – Fire Alarm Systems
- Prior Project Management or Superintendent experience
- Knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, and other Life Safety Systems
