We are seeking an experienced Akamai Security Engineer with expertise in enterprise-scale Akamai implementations, web application security, and emerging AI/LLM security technologies.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on Akamai experience
- Akamai Kona Site Defender
- Akamai Bot Manager
- Akamai API Security
- Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10
- Incident Response and Security Operations experience
- Enterprise-scale migration experience
- Financial Services industry experience

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Akamai security solutions.
- Configure and optimize Kona Site Defender, Bot Manager, and API Security.
- Lead enterprise-scale Akamai migrations and security initiatives.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents.
- Secure AI/LLM-enabled applications using Akamai Firewall for AI and related controls.
- Partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure adherence to security best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Strong experience with application security and API protection.
- Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
- Experience protecting large-scale internet-facing applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and incident response skills.
- Financial services domain experience preferred.
