Seeking a highly experienced Senior AIX Systems Administrator, this full-time remote position will manage the administration, maintenance, security, performance, and availability of IBM Power Systems and AIX environments that support critical banking applications, while participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation for operational support. Key responsibilities Administer and troubleshoot IBM AIX operating systems across various environments, including production and disaster recovery Manage IBM Power servers and perform hardware maintenance, configuration, and capacity planning activities Ensure compliance with banking regulatory requirements and implement security hardening and vulnerability remediation processes Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems engineering or programming, or a High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience 10+ years of enterprise-level AIX administration experience in mission-critical environments Expert-level knowledge of IBM AIX 7.x and IBM Power Systems (Power9, Power10) Strong Unix Shell Scripting expertise with the ability to develop and troubleshoot automation scripts Experience supporting systems within highly regulated industries, preferably banking or financial services
