A&P Mechanic | Ramp Works MX | Lakeland, FL (KLAL)
Ramp Works MX, the mobile maintenance division of Dobbs Flight Service, is seeking an FAA-certificated Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our team in Lakeland, Florida. We provide on-site maintenance for general aviation owners, flight schools, and FBOs throughout Central Florida, built on a disciplined, manual-driven approach to airworthiness.
Responsibilities
- Perform 50-hour and 100-hour inspections and scheduled maintenance on Cessna and Piper single-engine aircraft
- Diagnose and troubleshoot discrepancies using manufacturer service manuals, fault isolation procedures, and task cards
- Complete repairs and squawk resolution on-site at customer hangars, tiedowns, and ramps, including AOG response
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including photo documentation, logbook entries, and return-to-service documentation
Qualifications
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to procedural, checklist-based work
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Recent A&P graduates are encouraged to apply
Compensation and Benefits
- W-2 position, $27–30 per hour, plus a 12% profit share on external work

- Five days of paid time off after 90 days
