Job Description

We are hiring Aircraft Mechanics to support a large aerospace and aviation operation in San Antonio.


This position focuses heavily on aircraft structural modification, maintenance, and repair . Mechanics will perform close-tolerance drilling, reaming, riveting, sealing, shimming, and structural installation while working from engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform close-tolerance drilling and reaming on critical aircraft structures
  • Install and remove aircraft structural components
  • Perform aircraft sheet metal and structural repairs
  • Perform sealing, painting, shimming, and structural preservation
  • Read engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements
  • Use aircraft structural tooling, fixtures, and specialized hand tools
  • Troubleshoot and replace aircraft mechanical components
  • Support other mechanics, avionics, and electronics team members


What We Are Looking For

  • 1+ year of experience working with metals such as aluminum, titanium, or stainless steel
  • 1+ year reading schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, or SOPs
  • 1+ year using aircraft structural tools
  • Experience with 45/90-degree drills, rivet guns, countersink cages, pancake adapters, or hole finders
  • Experience working with aircraft structures such as stringers, webs, or seat tracks
  • Ability to work either 1st or 2nd shift based on business needs
  • Ability to support overtime, weekends, or holidays when required
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift approximately 35 pounds


Preferred:

  • C-17 or other heavy aircraft maintenance experience
  • Depot-level aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience with titanium aircraft structures
  • Forklift, mobile crane, or powered elevating equipment experience

  • Pay: $43.03/hour
  • Contract: 6 months
  • Openings: 10

  • Schedule: 1st or 2nd shift based on business needs
