Our client, a Japanese Logistics company is seeking an Air Export Operation Specialist in their NY office.

Position: Air Export Operation Specialist
Location: Nassau County, NY
Salary: 60-90k base + benefit packages
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily air export operations, including shipment coordination, documentation, booking, and cargo movement.
- Prepare and review export documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and country-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, overseas agents, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient shipments.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, requirements, and operational issues.
- Work with carriers to obtain competitive rates and maintain service quality.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of shipping documents, billing, and related operational records.
- Monitor changing export procedures and regulations.
- Support workflow management, process improvements, and team coordination as appropriate to experience level.
Qualifications
- Experience in freight forwarding or international logistics operations.
- Hands-on experience with Air Export operations.
- Knowledge of export documentation, shipment procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding systems; CargoWise One experience is a plus.
- Ocean Export experience is an advantage.
- Japanese skill is a big plus.
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is a plus, but not required for all candidates.
