Position: Aide, Pre-K

Pay Grade: EA1

Duty Days: 184

Salary: KISD Current Staff Compensation Plan for Paraprofessionals

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Computer skills
• Experience working with children

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

• Provide assistance to the teacher or teachers.
• Monitor students individually and in groups in accordance with teacher/principal directions.
• Operate equipment utilized in instruction.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials, bulletin boards, and teaching aids.
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of accurate and complete records as assigned.
• Assist in maintaining an orderly environment for learning by performing routine clean-up tasks and returning materials to designated places.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of equipment or materials and assist in the preparation of requisitions as directed.
• Participate in in-service training in order to improve level of skills working with students participating in the Pre-K program.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned by the principal.
• Report to the principal
