Job : AI Prompting Trainer
Location : This role will require frequent on site travel to San Diego, California, It will be remote besides the in person training sessions ( bi weekly/monthly) Someone who is relatively close (within a few hours) is preferred but if not West Coast is necessary.
Duration: this role will vary from 3-20 hours a week with planned schedules until the end of the year. this is a part time role.
AI Prompting Trainer (Workshop Delivery & Workforce Enablement - 100-300 Level)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced AI Prompting Trainer to deliver structured workshops that enable employees to effectively utilize AI tools and build foundational to intermediate AI agents. This role will focus on facilitating 100-300 level AI training sessions using pre-developed curriculum and materials.
The trainer will guide participants through hands-on exercises, reinforce best practices in prompt engineering, and support workforce adoption of AI tools. The ideal candidate is a strong facilitator who can engage diverse audiences, translate AI concepts into practical use cases, and coach participants through real-world applications, including more advanced workflow and agent usage at the 300 level.Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Facilitation
  • Deliver instructor-led AI workshops using established curriculum, lesson plans, and materials across 100-300 level training tracks .
  • Facilitate hands-on exercises focused on prompt engineering, workflow automation, and AI-assisted task execution.
  • Guide participants through structured labs involving prompt creation, refinement, and workflow development.
  • Provide real-time coaching and troubleshooting during exercises.
  • Adapt delivery style to support learners with varying technical proficiency levels.
  • Maintain an engaging and collaborative learning environment.
Workshop Execution
  • Follow provided lesson plans and instructional materials to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Manage class pacing across foundational, intermediate, and advanced workshop levels.
  • Prepare required tools, environments, and supporting materials prior to each session.
  • Deliver training in virtual and/or in-person settings.
  • Support repeatable delivery across multiple departments or business units. Learner Support & Coaching
  • Provide hands-on assistance during labs and exercises.
  • Assist learners with troubleshooting prompts, workflows, and agent configurations.
  • Reinforce structured prompting practices and workflow design methods.
  • Encourage participants to apply training concepts to real-world business scenarios.
  • Support participants transitioning from basic prompting to more advanced AI-driven workflows. AI Tools & Agent Training
  • Demonstrate effective usage of AI tools within structured exercises.
  • Guide participants through basic to intermediate agent-building workflows using provided templates and frameworks.
  • Reinforce best practices including:
    • Structured prompting
    • Prompt chaining
    • Workflow automation
    • Output validation
    • Iterative prompt refinement
    • Task orchestration
  • Support participants working through more complex automation scenarios introduced in 300-level training . Responsible AI Reinforcement
  • Reinforce responsible and compliant use of AI tools throughout all training levels.
  • Promote organizational policies related to:
    • Data privacy
    • Security awareness
    • Responsible AI usage
    • Risk mitigation practices
  • Educate learners on AI limitations, verification strategies, and responsible usage patterns. Feedback & Continuous Improvement
  • Collect structured participant feedback following workshops.
  • Identify common learner challenges and communicate insights to program leadership.
  • Provide recommendations to improve delivery effectiveness and learner engagement.
  • Participate in periodic trainer calibration sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Experience
  • Experience delivering technical or professional training to workforce audiences.
  • Proven ability to facilitate hands-on, lab-based workshops .
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing group-based learning environments. Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with AI prompting and generative AI tools .
  • Working knowledge of prompt engineering methodologies.
  • Understanding of workflow automation and task orchestration concepts.
  • Familiarity with AI agents and multi-step workflow processes .
  • Ability to troubleshoot common user issues during guided exercises.
