This is not a narrow coding role or a slide-deck strategy role — it is a hands-on, high-influence opportunity to embed with engineering teams, understand real code bases, coach developers, prove what is possible, and help scale AI-enabled development practices across multiple operating companies.You will operate like a technical SWAT-team leader: jumping into the highest-value opportunities, learning the development environment quickly, helping teams apply AI-assisted engineering in practical ways, measuring the impact, and then carrying those lessons to the next challenge. Along the way, you will help modernize legacy environments, support AI-focused Kaizens, build tangible proofs of concept, and influence experienced developers through credibility, curiosity, and hands-on technical depth.This position is remote-friendly, with preferred locations in Vancouver, B.C. or Loveland, CO.

Travel is expected to collaborate with Water Quality teams across North America, with potential international collaboration as needed.What You'll DoEmbed directly with software and firmware teams to identify practical AI use cases, improve workflows, and accelerate adoptionCoach developers on AI-assisted coding, testing, documentation, refactoring, debugging, and legacy code modernizationCreate practical playbooks, prompt libraries, reusable patterns, and engineering standards that make AI adoption easier to scaleSupport focused AI and software Kaizens, hackathon-style working sessions, and technical workshops that turn ideas into usable solutionsEvaluate and champion emerging AI development tools, coding agents, RAG approaches, agentic workflows, and other technologies that improve engineering productivityBuild tangible proofs of concept that demonstrate how AI can improve engineering delivery and potentially unlock customer-facing innovationMeasure impact through adoption, productivity, quality, DORA metrics, and other practical indicators of engineering improvementLead through influence across multiple Water Quality operating companies, helping teams see why changing how they work today enables them to move faster tomorrowWhat You'll Bring (Requirements):Principal-level depth in software engineering, firmware engineering, AI engineering, architecture, developer productivity, or a related technical leadership pathHands-on experience applying AI development tools, large language models, RAG approaches, MCP concepts, agentic workflows, coding agents, or AI-powered engineering platforms in real software environmentsAbility to quickly understand unfamiliar code bases, development environments, and technical constraints, then identify where AI can create practical valueCredibility with developers and the technical fluency to coach, prototype, troubleshoot, and lead by example rather than relying only on strategy or presentationsStrong communication and change leadership skills, with the ability to influence teams without direct authority and help them adopt new ways of workingYou would stand out if you also bring (Preferred Requirements):Experience across both software and embedded/firmware development environmentsExperience with IoT solutions, industrial automation, instrumentation, or connected productsExperience leading DevOps, platform engineering, architecture, or developer productivity initiativesExperience implementing organizational change management programs within technology teamsFamiliarity with water quality, environmental monitoring, laboratory, utility, compliance, or industrial technology marketsUnderstanding of AI governance, security, privacy, and compliant AI development practicesThis is a rare opportunity to be a force multiplier for the Water Quality segment — not by owning one narrow product area, but by helping many teams move faster, modernize smarter, and apply AI responsibly where it can make a measurable difference. Veralto is headquartered in Waltham, MA, with 300+ locations worldwide.The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.The compensation range for this role is $180,000-$200,000 CAD per year.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, and medical/dental/vision insurance to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
