AI Product Director

We're partnering with a rapidly growing financial technology organisation that is scaling an AI-first operating model across its business.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced AI Product leader to shape the future of an organisation undergoing significant transformation. You'll work directly with executive leadership to define the AI roadmap, redesign business processes through AI and Data Science, and build a high-performing AI Product function.

This isn't a role focused on incremental feature delivery. We're looking for someone who has fundamentally reimagined how organisations operate, leveraging AI to redesign workflows, decision-making processes, and customer experiences from the ground up.

You'll lead multiple concurrent AI initiatives, manage AI Product Managers, partner closely with Data Science and Engineering teams, and act as the central leader responsible for translating AI strategy into measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with executive leadership to define and execute the organisation's AI strategy
• Create and own a multi-year AI product roadmap
• Identify opportunities to transform business processes using AI and Data Science
• Redesign workflows from first principles rather than simply digitising existing processes
• Drive adoption of AI across customer, operational, and commercial functions
• Co-design AI product blueprints and transformation programmes
• Translate business objectives into detailed product specifications and buildable solutions
• Define AI workflows, user journeys, decision frameworks, acceptance criteria and success metrics
• Evaluate proposed technical solutions and ensure they align with business intent
• Own product design decisions from concept through deployment

Leadership & Delivery

• Lead and develop a growing team of AI Product Managers
• Oversee multiple concurrent AI initiatives and transformation workstreams
• Coordinate execution across Data Science, Engineering, Product and business stakeholders
• Establish standards for product design, process mapping and AI solution development
• Ensure projects maintain quality, velocity and business alignment
• Manage external AI and engineering partners through the full delivery lifecycle
• Evaluate technical proposals and architectural recommendations
• Hold partners accountable against agreed specifications and acceptance criteria
• Ensure the organisation owns the strategy and requirements while partners execute against clearly defined deliverables

Organisational Change & Adoption

• Drive stakeholder alignment across business functions
• Lead executive conversations around AI opportunity, risk and prioritisation
• Build confidence and adoption amongst end-user communities
• Communicate programme outcomes, risks and strategic trade-offs to senior leadership

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of Product Management experience with significant AI Product leadership exposure
• Proven 0-1 experience building AI products, capabilities or operating models
• Demonstrated success reimagining business processes through AI and Data Science
• Experience taking AI-enabled solutions from concept through live production deployment
• Experience leading multiple AI initiatives simultaneously
• Track record managing both internal and external engineering resources
• Strong cross-functional leadership across Product, Engineering and Data Science
