AI Native Systems Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an AI-Native Systems Engineer for a startup building AI-powered software for the construction industry. This resource will work closely with the Founder and Product leadership to develop production-ready AI applications and workflows. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial builder who leverages AI as a force multiplier while maintaining a strong focus on reliability, verification, and customer outcomes.

Some responsibilities will include –

 • Building AI-powered applications, agents, and orchestration workflows

 • Developing customer-facing and mobile-first AI experiences

 • Designing validation frameworks, guardrails, and observability mechanisms

 • Partnering directly with customers to understand workflows and pain points

 • Translating product vision into scalable, production-ready systems

Contributing across engineering, product, and customer discovery initiatives in a startup environment

Skills and Requirements

• 2-5 years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product development experience

 • Experience building production software applications

 • Familiarity with AI/LLM development ecosystems

 • Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows

 • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

 • Customer-facing experience and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders

Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced startup environments • AI agents, agentic workflows, LLM orchestration, or retrieval systems

 • Python experience

 • Rust experience or interest in systems programming

 • Cloud-native or multi-cloud experience

 • Experience with tools like Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Windsurf

 • Startup experience

Construction, engineering, or field operations industry exposure
