AI/ML Engineer, Internal Platforms

Role Overview

Build the AI systems behind a next-generation recruiting agent. In this remote, full-time role, you will develop and ship production-ready capabilities that make the agent more intelligent, reliable, and useful while experimenting with emerging large language models and agent frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and improve AI agent capabilities using modern large language models.
• Develop backend services and APIs in Python.
• Design and refine prompts, workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent orchestration.
• Evaluate model performance and improve quality through experimentation.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to deliver AI-powered features.
• Deploy, operate, and maintain scalable production AI systems.
• Stay current on AI models, tools, and engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Strong Python software engineering skills.
• Experience building applications with large language models and AI APIs.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar agent frameworks.
• Experience building APIs with FastAPI or comparable frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong problem-solving ability, an experimental mindset, and effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience launching AI products or AI agents into production.
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, model evaluation, or prompt engineering.
• Open-source AI contributions or personal AI application projects.
• Experience in fast-paced, AI-first environments.

Work Terms

• Remote, full-time position.

Compensation and Benefits

• Listed compensation range: $220, 000 to $300, 000 per year.
• The stated national base-salary range for this full-time position is $130, 000 to $160, 000 USD.
• Employees are eligible for equity compensation and may receive performance-based bonuses, depending on role and company policies.
