Position Overview
MFS is refining its Enterprise Architecture Review process and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage the administrative, coordination, and process-management aspects of this initiative.
This role will be responsible for ensuring architecture reviews move efficiently through the appropriate governance process, required stakeholders remain engaged, and meetings, risk reviews, decisions, and follow-up activities are effectively coordinated.
The ideal candidate does not need to be a hands-on architect but should have enough knowledge of enterprise architecture, technology, and asset management systems to understand technical discussions, identify impacted technology areas, connect business needs with technology considerations, and ensure the appropriate stakeholders are represented throughout the review process.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and coordinate the end-to-end Enterprise Architecture Review process , ensuring submissions, reviews, meetings, decisions, approvals, and follow-up activities progress efficiently.
- Facilitate ongoing refinements and improvements to the architecture review process, including potentially significant changes to workflows, governance practices, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Administer Enterprise Architecture Review Board (EARB) Risk Reviews and Board meetings , including scheduling, agenda preparation, participant coordination, documentation, action tracking, and follow-up.
- Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Technology Risk, Compliance, and technology Domain Leads , including Security and Cloud Engineering.
- Ensure the appropriate technology teams and subject matter experts are represented during architecture reviews based on the business need and technologies impacted.
- Apply broad knowledge of enterprise architecture and asset management technology to understand dependencies and identify relevant technology domains.
- Connect business requirements and project needs with applicable technology and architecture considerations to support comprehensive reviews.
- Track review status, dependencies, open risks, decisions, action items, and required approvals, escalating issues when necessary.
- Drive stakeholder communication and accountability across multiple technology and business groups.
- Ensure participants understand required actions, deadlines, dependencies, and next steps throughout the review lifecycle.
- Maintain process documentation, governance materials, meeting records, decision logs, risk documentation, and other architecture review artifacts.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, consistency, transparency, and overall effectiveness of the Enterprise Architecture Review process.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, Technology Governance, Enterprise Architecture coordination, or a related technology environment.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional processes involving multiple technology and business stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of enterprise architecture and broad technology concepts , with the ability to effectively participate in technical discussions without necessarily being a hands-on architect.
- Ability to understand business needs and determine which technology teams, architecture domains, and control functions should participate in a review.
- Strong project coordination, meeting facilitation, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Experience tracking risks, decisions, dependencies, action items, governance reviews, and approvals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with architects, technical leaders, risk and compliance professionals, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to facilitate process improvements and manage changes to established governance or review processes.
- Must be based in the Boston area and able to work onsite 3 days per week .
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within asset management, financial services, or another regulated enterprise environment .
- Knowledge of asset management technology and related enterprise systems.
- Previous experience supporting an Enterprise Architecture Review Board (EARB) , architecture governance function, technology risk review process, or similar governance body.
- Exposure to technology domains such as Cloud Engineering, Security, Solution Architecture, Infrastructure, Application Architecture, Technology Risk, and Compliance .
- Experience supporting significant process transformation or governance-process improvement initiatives.

Success in this position requires the ability to keep complex architecture reviews moving forward, maintain stakeholder accountability, identify the appropriate technology participants, and effectively bridge business needs, governance requirements, and enterprise technology considerations .
