Overseeing accounting operations in a fully remote capacity, the AI-Focused Controller will manage day-to-day financial activities, integrate advanced AI tools for enhanced efficiency, and ensure compliance with government contracting regulations. Key Responsibilities: Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and compliance with GAAP and government regulations Lead the evaluation and implementation of AI and automation tools to optimize financial processes and reduce manual effort Support financial strategy through budgeting, forecasting, and interface with external auditors and government agencies during reviews Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required CPA or MBA strongly preferred 8+ years of experience in accounting/financial management within a government contracting environment In-depth knowledge of GAAP, FAR, DFARS, and CAS requirements Hands-on experience with Unanet or similar accounting/ERP systems used in federal contracting
