We are hiring an AI Engineer for a 6-month contract position based in Plano, Texas. This is a hands-on role requiring deep full-stack development expertise combined with artificial intelligence integration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop full-stack solutions with a 100% hands-on coding approach
  • Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs with security best practices
  • Integrate large language models (LLMs) and AI agents into applications, including orchestration, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage version control workflows
  • Develop component-driven UI solutions and optimize web performance
  • Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and query optimization
  • Configure monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
  • Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards across the team
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
  • Write automated tests and maintain containerized, orchestrated deployments

Qualifications

  • Required
    • 10+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience
    • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework/Spring Boot
    • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, and Next.js
    • Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS)
    • Hands-on AI skills development and agentic flow enablement experience, including LLM/AI integrations, orchestration, guardrails, and evaluation
    • Modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5/CSS3, and component-driven UI development
    • Microservices architecture and RESTful API design
    • SQL and NoSQL database design and optimization
    • CI/CD pipeline implementation (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions)
    • Git version control
    • Automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, React Testing Library)
    • Docker and Kubernetes containerization/orchestration
    • Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Preferred
    • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Datadog)
    • Web performance optimization expertise
