Agroforestry Program DirectorWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to lead ACE's Agroforestry Program. The candidate will be responsible for tracking and achieving programmatic impact goals, overseeing program managers, and overseeing program enrollment through effective marketing, budgeting, landowner contracting, and partnership development. Role will work and must be based within Knox, Grainger, Jefferson, Hamblen, Hawkins, Greene, Washington, Sullivan, Carter and Johnson counties.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary liaison and manager for the ACE Agroforestry Program, responsible for meeting impact goals, site evaluations, landowner relationships, contractual and budgetary items, and planting and maintenance logistics.Plan and mobilize stakeholder engagement to organize programmatic goals and details, collecting data and organizing meetings with landowners, partners and community organizations to guide a robust programmatic offeringDevelops and maintains strong relationships with contractors and partnersLead program marketing efforts to elevate engagement among landowners, partners and the communityPrepare agroforestry planting plans with landowner input and oversee carbon modeling.

Perform site specific evaluations for planting plans, including deep assessment of each sites condition.Identify funding opportunities and manage grant proposals to secure additional resources, with the support of staff.Cultivate further stakeholder and organizational partnerships to further program impactRepresent the program and organization at conferences, workshops and community eventsQualificationsBachelor's degree in environmental science, forestry, natural resource management, or a related field (Master's preferred).Minimum of 5-7 years of experience forestry, agroforestry, reforestation or ecological restoration.Experience managing contractors from RFP to completionExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; has the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including landowners, partners, and community organizations.Has strong knowledge of southern Appalachian forests, forest management methods, resource management, agricultural treatments, basic soil science, plant and tree identificationWillingness to travel frequently (est. 30-50 days/year) and perform occasional field work in remote and rugged terrain.Will require the use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursements.
