AgriSompo has a unique opportunity for a Financial Accountant to support our organization.As a Financial Accountant at AgriSompo, you'll help drive accurate, insightful financial reporting that supports the foundation of our business. You'll take ownership of preparing detailed schedules, maintaining well-organized financial records, and ensuring all company activity is accurately captured. This role also involves applying the appropriate accounting treatments and contributing to the overall integrity of our financial data.Location: This position will be based in our Lenexa, KS office. We strive for collaboration which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long lasting careers.Our business, your impact, our opportunity:What you'll be doing:Compile, analyze, and organize financial data, including transactions, costs, and expendituresPrepare and post journal entries in the general ledger for monthly and quarterly close cyclesMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and tie-outs to support reporting needsAssist the Controller with various projects and deliverables, including quarterly close presentationsSupport timely completion of monthly and quarterly financial close activitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate tasks and share informationCompile supporting documentation for internal and external auditsHelp maintain and improve internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracyProvide backup coverage for colleagues and cross-train others on key tasksContinuously evaluate existing processes to identify and implement efficiency improvementsContribute to the development of financial analytics to support reported resultsWhat you'll bring:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experienceSolid understanding of GAAP; familiarity with IFRS and statutory accounting is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applicationsExperience with accounting software; SAP knowledge is a plusStrong analytical, problem-solving, and math skillsHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlinesStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with shifting prioritiesSelf-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityPhysical Requirements & Work ConditionsSedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Ability to stand or sit constantly/continuously.Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.Visual: The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.Environmental ConditionsThe work environment described here are meant to be representative of those an employee would normally encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside where there are limited extremes to heat and/or cold; moderate noise; a normal office environment.
