What you'll do

Depending on the project, you may:

Analyze: Review crop production systems, soil conditions, weather information, farm operations, agricultural data, and real-world farming scenarios.
Evaluate: Review AI-generated agricultural analysis, recommendations, calculations, and conclusions.
Validate: Determine whether AI-generated agricultural outputs are accurate, logically sound, practical, and consistent with established agricultural principles.
Review: Assess crop management plans, irrigation strategies, fertilization recommendations, pest management approaches, and agricultural production decisions.
Reason: Solve realistic agricultural problems and explain how an experienced agriculture professional would approach them.
Compare solutions: Assess multiple AI-generated agricultural solutions and identify meaningful differences in accuracy, reasoning, practicality, and professional judgment.
Create evaluations: Develop challenging agricultural tasks and criteria for measuring AI systems.
Provide expert judgment: Identify errors, inconsistencies, unsupported assumptions, and impractical recommendations in AI-generated agricultural work.
Projects may involve agronomy, crop production, soil science, horticulture, irrigation, plant science, agricultural economics, farm management, livestock systems, precision agriculture, agricultural technology, pest management, sustainability, and other areas depending on your expertise.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for experienced agriculture professionals, not necessarily AI researchers.

You should have:

3+ years of professional experience in agriculture, agronomy, agricultural science, farming, agricultural research, or a related field
Strong agricultural and analytical reasoning skills
Experience working with real-world agricultural information, data, or production systems
Ability to evaluate agricultural analysis and recommendations critically
Strong attention to detail
Ability to identify agricultural errors, inconsistencies, and unsupported assumptions
Strong professional judgment
Ability to clearly explain why an agricultural recommendation or conclusion is correct or incorrect
Experience with any of the following is valuable:
Agronomy and crop production
Soil science and soil management
Horticulture and plant science
Irrigation and water management
Pest, disease, and weed management
Agricultural economics
Farm and agricultural operations management
Livestock and animal production
Precision agriculture and agricultural technology
Sustainable agriculture and resource management
Agricultural research, extension, or field trials
Relevant agricultural degree, certification, or professional qualification
You do not need prior experience working in AI.
What matters most is that you know how to do agricultural work well.

You might be asked to:

Review an AI-generated agricultural analysis and identify the issues.

Evaluate whether a crop management recommendation is technically sound and practical.

Assess whether an irrigation, fertilization, or soil management recommendation is appropriate.

Review an AI-generated analysis of crop conditions, pests, diseases, weather, or agricultural data.

Compare two AI-generated agricultural solutions and determine which is stronger.

Evaluate an AI-generated farm management or production plan.

Analyze a realistic agricultural scenario and explain your reasoning.

Identify agricultural errors, inconsistencies, or unsupported conclusions.

Assess whether an agricultural recommendation appropriately considers environmental conditions, resources, costs, productivity, and operational constraints.

Create challenging agricultural problems that can be used to evaluate AI systems.

The goal is not simply to determine whether agricultural work looks reasonable.

The goal is to capture the judgment an experienced agriculture professional uses to determine whether agricultural work actually makes sense.

Compensation

Paid project-based work.

Rates vary based on your experience, specialization, and project requirements. Your applicable rate and project scope will be shown before you commit to a project.

But producing a plausible-looking agricultural answer is not the same as demonstrating strong agricultural judgment.

AI needs to learn how experienced agriculture professionals:

Analyze agricultural information
Evaluate crop and soil conditions
Assess farming and production practices
Evaluate irrigation and resource use
Identify agricultural errors and risks
Assess pest, disease, and crop management decisions
Evaluate assumptions and supporting evidence
Recognize important agricultural edge cases
Compare alternative agricultural solutions
Assess productivity, feasibility, and sustainability
Explain agricultural conclusions clearly
Determine when agricultural analysis is actually reliable
That's where you come in.

Your agricultural expertise helps shape how AI learns to reason about agriculture.
