Agile Delivery Lead

This is a contract to hire opportunity in the Atlanta area. Candidates MUST be local and MUST have previous hands on development experience.

This role is NOT open to C2C, OPT, or Visa consideration. No vendor support of any kind needed.

• Own and oversee delivery across cross-functional squads within a Value Stream, applying Agile principles, values, and practices.
• Maintain a strong focus on delivering business value through continuous improvement and effective prioritization.
• Support service delivery, including vendor coordination, budget and financial oversight, legal compliance, and risk management.
• Drive backlog refinement and change delivery by managing JIRA boards and supporting prioritization activities.
• Remove impediments and manage dependencies to help squads meet their goals; escalate issues when necessary.
• Ensure strong stakeholder engagement by aligning expectations, communicating progress, and shielding squads from distractions.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and tailor delivery methodologies to meet team and value stream needs.
• Identify and manage risks proactively to maximize delivery outcomes.
• Lead release management coordination across squads, and promote technical excellence through improved engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Change Managers to ensure prioritization reflects delivery capacity and roadmap feasibility.
• Support ad hoc business needs by balancing urgent requests against planned commitments.
• Resolve cross-squad dependencies and ensure timely completion of delivery administration.
• Foster collaboration, develop delivery best practices, and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
• Engage in Agile and DevOps communities to promote learning, innovation, and alignment across teams.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 years of total experience and 3+ years of Lead experience in Agile delivery roles such as Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, or Product Owner.
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean) and delivery practices.
• Experience managing portfolios or programs of change in complex environments.
• Proven track record in incident/problem management, including support for live systems and major incident handling.
• Demonstrated experience managing delivery budgets and financials within a project or Value Stream.
• Proficiency with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Miro, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent time management, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong facilitation and communication abilities—confident in conflict resolution and adapting style to audience.
• Familiarity with technical concepts including software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD, test automation, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborative, people-oriented leader who can guide teams without relying on authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working within Value Streams or platform service teams.
• Familiarity with OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for team performance and goal-setting.
• Exposure to data visualization tools to support continuous improvement and performance tracking.
