Position Overview
Embedded technical team within Booz Allen’s People Services organization supporting the Chief Human Resources Officer. Build and maintain production‑grade data pipelines, AI‑powered applications, and analytics tools that help the company understand and invest in its workforce. Work with enterprise data sources (Workday, Azure‑based data lakes, Databricks) using Python across notebooks, scripts, and full web‑application stacks. Develop and extend REST APIs and front‑end interfaces for HR professionals and leadership. Integrate large language model capabilities into applied workflows, moving beyond experimentation to build AI features that solve real workforce challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications using agile methodologies.
- Write new source code and enhance code samples for existing applications.
- Acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation and optimization.
- Build, maintain, and monitor production data pipelines, REST APIs, and front‑end interfaces.
- Integrate AI/ML systems, including large language models, into production workflows.
- Operate with full team oversight and career management within the DART team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software applications using agile methods.
- 5+ years of experience with software development using programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Scala.
- Experience writing source code for new applications or generating/enhancing code samples for existing applications.
- Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, product management, and software product development.
- Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.
- Knowledge of AI systems architecture, AI platforms, or MLflow.
- Ability to work with automated testing tools for testing and maintenance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in software engineering, or 5+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree.
Nice to Have
- Experience administering CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes, Docker, or Jenkins.
- Master’s degree.
- ML, AI, or Solution Architecture certification.
Compensation & Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). Full‑time and part‑time employees working at least 20 hours a week are eligible for Booz Allen’s benefits, which include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care.
Work Model
- Remote : This position may require occasional in‑person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid : You will be expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations, and may also be required to work at a customer facility.
- Onsite : Work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating with colleagues and customers as required.
