Afterschool Behavior Technician – $25/Hour | Part-Time
nAmergis Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Afterschool Behavior Technicians to support students in school-based afterschool programs. nPosition Details
nPosition: Afterschool Behavior Technician
nPay Rate: $25.00 per hour
nSchedule: Part-Time
nHours: 20–25 hours per week
nShift: Afterschool hours (typically 1:00 PM–6:00 PM, depending on site)
nPosition Overview
nThe Afterschool Behavior Technician provides direct behavioral support to students through one-on-one and small-group interventions. Working alongside teachers, school staff, and behavioral specialists, this role focuses on helping students build positive behaviors, strengthen social skills, and improve emotional regulation.
nThe Behavior Technician also assists in implementing behavior intervention plans and supports students during homework time, structured activities, and daily transitions.
nKey Responsibilities
nImplement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of school staff and behavioral supervisors
nProvide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support during afterschool activities
nSupport students with emotional regulation, social skills development, and coping strategies
nAssist students during homework sessions, recreational activities, and transitions
nCollect and document behavioral data and student progress
nCollaborate with teachers, behavioral specialists, and program staff
nHelp maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
nEncourage student engagement and positive behavioral outcomes
nQualifications
nRequired
nHigh School Diploma or GED
nMust be at least 18 years of age
nAbility to meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
nStrong communication and interpersonal skills
nAbility to work afternoon and early evening hours
nPreferred
nExperience working with children in schools, ABA programs, childcare, camps, tutoring, or related settings
nTwo (2) years of pediatric or behavioral support experience
nRegistered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
nCurrent CPR certification, if applicable
nTB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray clearance, if required
nExperience working with children with special needs
