Accomplished this by engaging in routine monitoring, assuring that site leaders and staff adhere to state and established program standards. Oversee, operations and activities at all school sites.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Develop and lead an overall vision for Aftercare and Summer Camp program quality and success.Oversee the After School and Summer Camp program regulatory operations.Accountable for knowing and understanding department, school, childcare licensing (CDHS), and local health department regulations and guidelines.Perform on-site audits of program operations and files, identifying areas of risk for noncompliance.Work with Site Leaders to resolve discrepancies in standards, policies, practices and procedures.Monitor Site Leaders' compliance activities, including violations, complaints and responses.Must be present at the center at least 60% of the day.Audit each site's child and employee files for compliance.Complete financial records and reports. They may include, but are not limited to, purchase reconciliations, budgeting, billing, collecting tuition payments, preparing deposits, Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), and following-up on delinquent accounts.Provide research and reports for the department as requested.Maintain up-to-date employee and family handbooks.With assistance from Site Leaders, develop and administer ongoing staff meetings and trainings to all program employees.Alert site leaders and staff of any changes to policies and procedures.Provide continuing education opportunities to employees to aide in completing their 15 hours required continuing education training per year.Fill in for any absent staff 'as needed to maintain staff/child ratios.When working directly with the children, follow program policies and procedures.Monitor to ensure daily safety of children, maintain staff-to-child ratio, name to face attendance, and effectively handle student discipline.Provide positive behavior support to students as needed.Assist Site leaders with ordering and purchasing supplies and snacks as needed.Audit each site to ensure that they are implementing age-appropriate activities for students that engage students in educational and enrichment activities that include math, literacy, science, games, outdoor time.Monitor each site's employee schedules and monitor and perform the needs of the schools time clock system.Communicate program information and respond to phone calls, e-mails and written correspondence to school administration, staff and parents.Attend and participate in assigned meetings.Maintain CPR/1st aide and medication certification. Distribute medication to students as directed. Provide general First Aid when needed.Review and inform site leaders and staff of any 504 Plans and IEPs to ensure compliance.After school program, Policy and Procedures must be reviewed within one-month of hire.Perform other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.RequirementsEDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:Must be 21 years of age.Demonstrated maturity in judgement, administrative ability and the skill to appropriately supervise and direct school age children in both structured and unstructured settings.A minimum of 3 years verifiable experience as a Director running child care/school age care programs is preferred.A degree and/or licensure in education or a related field is preferred.If needed, must be willing to complete appropriate training within the first nine months of employment.LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:Criminal background check.Current CPR/First Aid Certification.Standard precautions certification.Medication Administration certification.Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect.Playground Safety and Injury Prevention.Must have a current physical before starting work.Must complete all Academy After school program and Licensing required paperwork.Must complete annually 15 clock hours of continuing education per licensing mandate.TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:Personal computer and keyboarding skills.Strong customer service and public relations skills.Strong interpersonal relations skills.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail.Intermediate accounting and math skills.Knowledge of or ability to learn current software.Ability to work cooperatively with other departments to solve problems.Ability to analyze information and make correct assumptions based on acquired knowledge of appropriate contacts, policies, procedures, and guidelines.Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.Ability to balance multiple priorities.Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Authorizer policies and building and department procedures.Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.Operating knowledge of information technology systems and any other department specific software and equipment required within one month after entering position.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS & DIRECTION/GUIDANCE:Reports to: Director of FinanceDirect reports: Site Leader - 2BUDGET AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITY:Responsible for and adherence to the site budget.
