General Summary : Lead engaging, enrichment-based specialty classes for students in grades K-8, depending on the class at University School of Milwaukee (USM) in order to provide an enriching and educationally sound experience, in alignment with institutional needs.

- Teach 3-4 after-school specialty classes per week.
- Plan and deliver interactive, well-structured lessons aligned with the subject or program theme.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Apply effective classroom management techniques to maintain a safe and focused learning space.
- Differentiate and adapt instruction to accommodate different learning styles, age groups, and abilities.
- Communicate regularly with the Specialty Programs Lead, and the Associate Director of Auxiliary Programs leadership about class progress, student needs, and supply requirements.
- Set up and manage any materials needed for class activities.
- Collaborate with Associate Director of Auxiliary Programs to plan, advise, and implement strategies for student success.
- Support the program's overall goals by contributing to additional tasks as assigned by the Associate Director of Auxiliary Programs.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean work and learning environment.
- Evaluate situations for the purpose of taking appropriate action and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Maintains records and files as needed.
- Handle inquiries from students, parents, and the general public.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to design or implement engaging curriculum and enrichment activities.

- Bachelor's degree or college coursework in education or related fields is preferred.
- Prior experience teaching or leading structured programming for school-age children and/or working with children in a camp, classroom, or recreational setting is preferred.
- CPR/AED Certification (or willingness to obtain).
