Position Description
New Beginning Support Services, Inc. is seeking caring, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our Leaders in the Making Youth Group After-School Program . Staff members will help provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for youth while promoting academic success, healthy lifestyles, leadership development, and positive social skills.
The program serves school-aged children through a variety of enrichment activities, including homework assistance, STEM activities, arts and crafts, nutrition education, gardening, physical fitness, life skills, and recreational activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of program participants at all times.
- Assist students with homework and academic enrichment activities.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
- Facilitate nutrition, gardening, wellness, and physical fitness activities.
- Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and leadership development.
- Build positive relationships with youth, families, staff, and community partners.
- Maintain attendance records and complete required program documentation.
- Prepare activity materials and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Follow all program policies, safety procedures, and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Attend staff meetings and required trainings.
